About Mohiniyattam
Mohiniyattam is a classical dance form of Kerela. Mohiniyattam derived from the words “Mohini”(meaning beautiful women) and “attam” ( meaning dance). Mohiniyattam dance form is a beautiful feminine style with surging flowers of body movements. Mohiniyattam dance in Kerela developed in the tradition of Devadasi system, which later grew and developed a classical status. Mohiniyattam’s repertoire sequence includes an invocation or cholkettu, Jatisvaram, Varnam, Padam, Thilana, Shlokam, and Saptam.
